GEMS Educations A-Level students achieve remarkable 2016 results

Dubai, UAE: Students from GEMS Schools in the UAE celebrated another year of remarkable success by achieving exceptional A-Level examination results.
Once again the GEMS student scores in the A Level examinations have exceeded UK National averages and also the GEMS averages for 2015. Across the GEMS Schools offering the National Curriculum for England, 39 per cent of students achieved A*-A, and 65 per cent of students achieved A* - B, higher than the UK national averages on both counts.
The overall pass rate for GEMS students was 99.8% compared to the UK pass rate in 2015 of 98.8%.
There was significant achievement at Jumeirah College in Dubai with 44 per cent of student entries obtaining A* - A, which is 17 per cent above the National Average in England.

AS level results were also very positive with 42% of student entries obtaining A-B, and with an overall pass rate of 90.7%, compared to the UK pass rate of 89.4%.

A significant number of GEMS students have already secured places at Leeds, Birmingham, Manchester, UCLA, Harvard, and Stanford amongst many other excellent universities.
