FedEx Volunteers Distribute Meal Packs to Laborers In Spirit of Ramadan

In celebration of the generous spirit of Ramadan, FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the worlds largest express transportation company, distributed 300 meal packs to Dubai-based laborers. FedEx team members handed out meal packs on July 10 to workers living in Al Quoz, committing approximately 150 volunteer hours towards the initiative.

At the beginning of Ramadan, FedEx UAE team members were invited to contribute towards meal packs for laborers. Each meal pack distributed contained 2 weeks of food essentials such as rice, milk powder, lentils, tea, and more.

This is the third year that we have organized this event in Dubai, to contribute to easing the lives of those less fortunate said David J. Ross, regional president of FedEx Express Middle East, Indian Subcontinent & Africa. This initiative is just one of many ways in which FedEx actively supports the local community. Our team members have done an outstanding job throughout the year, demonstrating their passion for giving back to the people of the UAE and improving quality of life.
