ENOC Recognises Service Station Staff for Fire Emergency Response Efforts in 2016

Dubai, United Arab Emirates; December 29, 2016: Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) recognised its unsung heroes that aided regulate 100 per cent of fires up to the third quarter of 2016 across its retail network.

As part of its continuous commitment to environment, health and security (EHS), ENOC has a contract with Dubai Civil Defense (DCD) because 2011 to use its training facility in Al Awir to train the company's personnel working at gas station. In 2014, DSD Training Facility was additionally improved with the enhancement of a new training center built by ENOC dedicated for educating its very own staff. Developed to improve fire emergency reaction in a reasonable atmosphere, the facility includes a fire simulator, a version refinery and a design forecourt.

ENOC's Fire Specialists function very closely with DCD to give useful firefighting training in fire emergencies and managing fire-related cases. Over 3000 site team have been learnt the last two years, which has actually enabled efficient fire emergency situation feedback at ENOC's retail network of 113 service station.

The training modules are held at routine intervals at the DCD facility, with a concentrate on 3 levels; for supervisors (emergency responders), forecourt and non-forecourt website team (initial fire responders) and for fire wardens at personnel accommodations.
