Dubai Culture to mark UAE Innovation Week with launch of virtual cultural platform, Art Lab and kids's imaginative workshop

The Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), the Emirate's devoted entity for heritage, arts and culture, is marking the UAE Innovation Week from November 22 to 28 with a week-long programme of activities focuseded on supporting the spirit of innovative development and promoting the cultural scene of Dubai through talent advancement.

Among the highlights of Dubai Culture's involvement in the UAE Innovation Week consist of the launch of a virtual cultural platform, a children's imaginative workshop and the present of Art Lab that intends to promote ingenious thinking for imaginative solutions within the sector. On Nov. 23, Dubai Culture will partner with Dubai Design District (d3) and Rochester Institute of Technology to organise a children's 'Makey-Makey' workshop at d3, Building 7 from 3pm to 5.30 pm. Open for children from 4 to 12 years, 'MaKey MaKey' is an innovative kit that assists youngsters to turn anything into an electronic production.

The imaginative workshop will supply kids with activities that promote computational thinking and interactive design. By using 'Makey-Makey', they can turn daily materials into ingenious controllers.
