Dubai Chamber presents gifts to dhow sailors to mark Zayed Humanitarian Work Day

As part of its assistance to the Zayed Humanitarian Work Day, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry organised a corporate volunteering activity by packaging and dispersing Ramadan gift packs for the dhow sailors at Dubai Creek.

Arranged in collaboration with The Angel Appeal charitable initiative, Dubai Chamber personnel packed and presented 1,000 Ramadan gift packs consisting of personal usage items which were enthusiastically received by the sailors dealing with the dhows moored on Dubai Creek.

Participating in the gift-wrapping activity were H.E. Majid Saif Al Ghurair, Chairman, and directors of Dubai Chamber, who filled up and loaded the individual products which were later distributed to the dhow sailors by the Chamber personnel.

Said H.E. Al Ghurair, "Dubai Chamber believes in promoting and supporting humanitarian and charitable work to bring delight to the less privileged members of the neighborhood as initiated by our elders and instilled in the hearts of our people and residents by the nation's leaders.

"The late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan has actually set an example in massive charity work and has made the UAE among the prominent nations internationally in the location of offering humanitarian and charitable assistance to underprivileged and the needy in far corners of the world," he stated.

This unique initiative is part of the Chamber's Ramadan activities including the sponsoring of the first session of the Islamic Lecture and hosting of the 20th session of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award at its properties.
