Dispute Resolution Authority headquarters in DIFC officially launched

The Dispute Resolution Authority (DRA), the body that administers justice and legal excellence within the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), has formally opened its headquarters in the DIFC Precinct Village in the existence of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of the Emirates Group; HE Essa Kazim, Governor of the DIFC; Michael Hwang, Chief Justice of the DIFC Courts and Head of the DRA; along with ambassadors, consuls and distinguished guests from the legal community.

The DRA is the gateway to a suite of dispute resolution services available to companies, lawyers and people. It presently integrates the DIFC Courts, Dubai's established English language, commercial common law judicial system; the DIFC-LCIA Arbitration Centre (DIFC-LCIA), the Arab world's leading international arbitration and mediation centre; the DIFC Wills and Probate Registry (WPR), the very first common law, English language wills and probate service for non-Muslims in the Middle East; and the DIFC DRA Academy of Law (Academy of Law), an independent entity that provides education and support services to the UAE legal community.
