Al Barwani Wins 2017 Ramadan Challenge Senior Cup Title

Champions were crowned following the 4th and last round of the Sodi World Series (SWS) 2017 Ramadan Challenge on Monday night (19 June) at the Dubai Kartdrome.

Atef Al Barwani claimed a narrow victory over Romaldo Labrooy to gain his 2nd Ramadan Difficulty Senior Cup title, with his last SWS championship win in 2015.

Keanu Al Azhari racked up an emphatic dual race win to secure the 2017 Ramadan Difficulty Junior Cup title, with his siblings Enzo and Adam also on the podium to complete an unbelievable championship sweep.

Senior Cup & Masters

Romaldo Labrooy sought to retaliate a slim defeat in the Senior Cup title obstacle in 2014 and was well on his method at an early stage in the competition. Junior Cup

Kyle Kumaran topped qualifying early on, but afterwards the following 2 races - and the championship - came from the Al Azhari bros.

Keanu Al Azhari was the title favourite going into Round 4 and he ensured his rivals didn't have an opportunity to catch him. He topped his sibling Enzo by 0.139 secs in Race One and afterwards cruised to another win in Race 2 by a significant 8.889 secs over Kumaran.
